Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Abehavioral health facility in Mansfield Center, Connecticut is seeking a LocumsPsychiatric Nurse Practitioner for a full-time, ongoing assignment beginning assoon as possible. This position offers a stable weekday schedule and theopportunity to work within a multidisciplinary psychiatric care team serving aninpatient population.

Theideal candidate will be a Connecticut-licensed Nurse Practitioner withexperience providing medical oversight in a behavioral health setting andconducting comprehensive physical examinations for psychiatric patients.

Compensation: $100 Per Hour

Facility Size: 56-bed inpatient unit

ClinicalResponsibilities

Provide medical oversight and support for psychiatric inpatients
Conduct admission and annual physical examinations
Evaluate and manage common medical conditions in the behavioral health population
Order and interpret diagnostic testing as appropriate
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Monitor patients for medical concerns and coordinate specialty referrals when needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
Ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations

PatientVolume

Average of 10-12 patients per day

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Active Connecticut Nurse Practitioner license required
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred
