Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a busy, traveler-friendly facility in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This unit cares for patients of all ages and requires strong critical care skills in a collaborative environment.

• Active Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) program with RN coverage 24/7

Unit Details

• 21-bed Emergency Department plus 6-bed annex
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• RN-to-patient ratio: 1:4 (days and nights)
• Tech-to-patient ratio: 1:8

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• First-time travelers welcome
• Strong critical care skill set required
• Epic experience preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC or TNS
• CPI or MOAB

Support & Resources

• Reduced-assignment charge nurse
• ED physicians and hospitalists in-house 24/7
• Unit clerks available 24/7
• Phlebotomy support for peripheral blood draws
• Telemetry monitoring at the nursing station
• Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing system

Schedule & Orientation

• Weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month
• No call requirement
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved
• No holiday requirement
• Minimum one shift orientation to learn unit flow
