Part-Time Store Staff (Short-Term with Long-Term Potential)

A long-established Japanese sweets maker with a presence in the US is looking for reliable, independent store staff members fluent in Japanese and English. This position starts as a 2 to 3-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent, year-round position based on performance. As part of our store team, candidates must be ready to handle all aspects of store operationsincluding opening/closing procedures and working solo shiftswith minimal training.

Essential Duties

• Perform all aspects of sales operations, including customer service, processing transactions, and handling customer inquiries.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure a tidy and organized environment.
• Be flexible and willing to undertake any other duties as required to support the store's operation.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.

Working Hours, Working style Hours: Approx. 4 hours/day (Up to 20 hours/week), scheduled between 9:15 AM - 20:15 PM. Schedule is flexible and may change based on business needs. Overtime may be required.

Salary/Benefit $21-22/hr Holiday Negotiable

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in Japanese to communicate effectively.
• Proven experience in a sales role.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• A keen interest in Japanese culture and food.
• Willingness to perform a wide range of tasks, including cleaning, in addition to sales duties.
• Ability to work independently with minimal training.
