RHIIT Certified Health Information Manager
Join our growing Team of Healthcare Professionals
Shoreline Post Acute is seeking a talented RHIIT Certified Health Information Manager to lead our Health Information Management (HIM) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of our patients' health information while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the HIM department, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
Ensure accurate and timely recording of patient data, including electronic medical records (EMRs) and paper records
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies
Coordinate with other departments, such as Quality Improvement, Medical Records, and IT, to ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to health information management, including data discrepancies and access control
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, consultants, and other external partners to support HIM operations
Collaborate with facility leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for HIM department
Provide training and support to staff members on HIM policies, procedures, and software applications
Requirements:
RHIIT Certified
Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Health Information Management
(certification required)
Strong understanding of HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office applications
