RHIIT Certified Health Information Manager

Join our growing Team of Healthcare Professionals

Shoreline Post Acute is seeking a talented RHIIT Certified Health Information Manager to lead our Health Information Management (HIM) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity of our patients' health information while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the HIM department, including data collection, analysis, and reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of patient data, including electronic medical records (EMRs) and paper records

  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as Quality Improvement, Medical Records, and IT, to ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to health information management, including data discrepancies and access control

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, consultants, and other external partners to support HIM operations

  • Collaborate with facility leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for HIM department

  • Provide training and support to staff members on HIM policies, procedures, and software applications

Requirements:

  • RHIIT Certified

  • Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Health Information Management

    (certification required)

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA, Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office applications
