Production Planner

Production Planner – Job Overview The Production Planner is responsible for creating the shop floor plan and collaborating with the plant operations team to ensure manufacturing orders are opened and executed on time. They maintain PFEP (Plan for Every Part) parameters to balance customer service and inventory goals, collaborate cross‑functionally to prioritize work orders, troubleshoot issues, and help drive business results. Key Responsibilities Creates and communicates the daily/weekly production plan. Reviews work orders and collaborates with Business Unit Managers and plant supervisors to ensure proper plant prioritization. Reviews unreleased work orders to determine root cause(s). Updates PFEP planning parameters based on historical data, standard work, and business needs. Monitors component supermarkets and prioritizes production. Reviews blocking parts and drives actions to mitigate. Partners with Inventory Control to maintain accurate system inventories and supports Physical Inventory. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 2+ years of Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning, or Materials Planning experience Applied experience planning using ERP systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP) Proficiency with Excel Occasional lifting and maneuvering of up to 30 lbs Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future Preferred Qualifications JDE planning experience Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP) Production Planning or scheduling experience in manufacturing environment Benefits and Location Location: Elyria, OH – conveniently located within driving distance to Cleveland with a low cost of living, excellent school systems, and a family‑friendly community.
