About the Role

We are a manufacturing company seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all technology-related support across our manufacturing facility, ensuring our systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate reliably to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

•       Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users across the facility, including production floor staff, supervisors, and office personnel

•       Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, handheld scanners, and other peripheral devices

•       Support and troubleshoot manufacturing-specific systems including ERP software, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and plant floor terminals

•       Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points throughout the facility

•       Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control using Active Directory and related tools

•       Coordinate with third-party vendors and managed service providers on escalated issues and infrastructure projects

•       Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and support tickets via the company's ticketing system

•       Assist with IT projects including system upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure improvements

•       Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed across the organization, including patch management and endpoint protection

•       Support backup and disaster recovery processes to safeguard critical business and production data

Required Qualifications

•       2–4 years of hands-on IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment

•       Proficiency with Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite

•       Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)

•       Experience with Active Directory user and group management

•       Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently

•       Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users

•       Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced production environment

•       Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

•       Experience supporting ERP systems (SAP, Epicor, or similar)

•       Familiarity with industrial networking or OT (Operational Technology) environments

•       CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications

•       Experience with ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Zendesk)

•       Exposure to barcode/RFID systems or inventory management technology

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at our manufacturing facility. The role requires occasional work in a production environment where exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures may occur. Some after-hours or weekend availability may be required for critical system maintenance or upgrades.
