Underwriting Professional I (Underwriter)We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Underwriting Professional I (Underwriter) in our Fort Wayne, IN office. This position will support Aon's K&K Insurance group Leisure business group within Aon Affinity. As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look like:Underwrites multi-line accounts accordance with agreed upon underwriting guidelines, regulatory compliance and carrier administration standards requirements (standard / non-standard market)Deliver high quality /accuracy of the product for client's new and or existing accountsUse sound judgment and independent thinking to achieve the maximum result within authority and state guidelinesIdentify premium growth opportunities with current book by cross sell offering other coverageCollect/monitor competitive intelligence on all key competitors within assigned areas; anticipate client's needs by contributing to research and development of products /endorsementsWorks with Underwriting Staff to coordinate and prepare rating information in carrier system(s) and provide advice on best practices for selling the products to clientsWork within the E&S marketWorks independently with moderate guidance and supervisionActively seeks out new and challenging projectsSkills and experience that will lead to success:5 + years working and underwriting P&C Commercial package insuranceP&C license requiredMulti-line commercial lines product knowledgeExperience in the E&S markets, understanding state regulationsStrong written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate in a professional manner with clients and the marketplaceAnalytical skills – problem solvingAbility to work in fast pace environmentEducation: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experienceFor positions in San Francisco and Los Angeles, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction record in accordance with local Fair Chance ordinances.Aon is not accepting unsolicited resumes from search firms for this position. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
