Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Veteran Disability Evaluations
Our organization is in search of a committed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to become a vital part of our team, focusing on medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits assessment process. This position entails performing targeted, in-person physical examinations and electronically reviewing medical histories to fulfill the necessary documentation for the VA.
Primary Responsibilities:- Conduct in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
- Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online platform.
- Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required forms for the VA.
- Offer medical insights based on your evaluation findings.
Important: This position does not include treatment or medication prescriptions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is responsible for making disability determinations, not the provider.
Position Overview:- Schedule: Monday to Thursday (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Location: In-person role.
- Caseload: 3-5 Veterans daily.
- Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
- A compassionate professional committed to aiding the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess medical records and evaluation data.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in electronic documentation and online portals.
- A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Comfortable utilizing technology for record reviews and documentation.
