Long Term Care Retail Pharmacist - Eden Prairie, MN

Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to engage in both retail and long-term care pharmacy settings in a dynamic specialty pharmacy environment. The position is based in Grand Rapids, MN, with an 8+ week contract duration. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong balance between clinical expertise and customer service, supporting diverse patient needs across various pharmacy disciplines.

Responsibilities:

Manage and dispense prescriptions in retail pharmacy settings ensuring accuracy and compliance
Oversee long-term care medication regimens, supporting facility and patient-specific requirements
Provide immunizations and counsel patients on medication therapies
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication management
Participate in rotating weekend shifts Monday through Friday, 30-40 hours per week

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current Minnesota Pharmacist License
Immunization Certification and CPR Certification required
PharmD degree or Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification preferred
Experience in both retail and long-term care pharmacy settings, preferably within specialty pharmacy
Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple duties

Schedule and Location:

Monday to Friday with rotating weekend coverage
30-40 hours per week
Location: Grand Rapids, MN
