About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to play a pivotal role in advancing and executing its academic vision and strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of rigorous and engaging instruction, curriculum, and assessment systems, and for directly coaching and supporting School Principals to ensure strong implementation and continuous improvement. As a member of the Executive Team, the CAO will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure that every scholar receives an excellent education that prepares them for success in college and beyond. This role demands a firm belief in the potential of all scholars, a commitment to the values of the organization, and the ability to lead a high-performing academic team. Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in educational leadership, with a strong preference for those with a background in high-performing charter schools. The role requires a candidate who is a proactive communicator, goal-oriented, and dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. The CAO will be expected to champion the company's vision for world-class academic excellence, ensure the academic and assessment data is used effectively, and maintain a strong focus on professional development and scholar interventions. The ideal candidate will be a leader who models the values of the organization, is detail-oriented, and is systematic and efficient in their approach to education.
