These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values, and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and guests./ph3Job Requirements/h3ulliProvides a safe and secure environment for employees, physicians, patients, visitors, equipment, systems, and facilities in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures./liliProactively patrols assigned areas (internally and externally) in an effort to identify suspicious persons or activity and initiating corrective action as appropriate./liliObserves employees for identification badges and counsels as needed./liliProvides escorts to employees, physicians, patients, and visitors; transporting them in wheelchairs, if necessary./liliProvides assistance to other security personnel and hospital employees as necessary to ensure adequate monitoring and follow-up of unusual occurrences./liliProvides assistance, direction, and guidance in resolving problems or complaints, informing supervisor of reportable situations and actions taken./liliCompletes all paperwork accurately and as required (Daily Activity Log, Incident Reports, Vehicle Inspection Reports, etc.)/liliDemonstrates discretion in handling confidential information; maintains confidentiality of all employee, patient, visitor, physician, hospital, and security related information/liliResponds to calls from nursing and other hospital departments in a timely manner to assist in the management of disorderly patients and/or visitors/liliImmediately reports all safety hazards, malfunctioning equipment, and other potential problems to supervisor/liliProvides emergency access to various areas of the hospital when required and/or approved by a supervisor/liliEnforces parking restrictions by issuing parking violation notices to employees who violate them/liliEnforces visitor policy/liliReleases deceased patients (per policy) as needed/liliResponds to Emergency Codes (Blue, Red, Gray, Back, Orange, and Pink) and properly documents such incidents on an incident report/liliMonitors Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), alarm panels, radios, and other equipment as required/liliPerforms function in accordance with Insight Hospitals Mission, Values, and Behaviors/liliAdheres to Insights Look and Uniform Policy/liliPerforms related duties as needed or assigned by any Supervisor and/or Director/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh School graduate or equivalent/liliState of Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card/liliValid Drivers License and Good Driving Record (Must be insurable with Mercys insurance carrier.
