The Work You Will Do DOT Intern-TPK Internship and Various Departments within Turnpike Enterprise This position will provide interns with hands‑on learning opportunities across the transportation industry. Interns will support a variety of tasks within multiple departments, including areas such as Transportation Development, Toll Operations, Highway Operations, Administration, Finance, and Information Technology. They will assist with research, data analysis, and project support activities while collaborating with executive leadership, team leaders, project managers, fellow interns, and external partners. Interns will actively participate in team projects, contribute to agency goals, and help support initiatives that drive innovation and continuous improvement across the organization. The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge Of basic understanding and/or interest of transportation systems. departmental functions such as engineering, planning, Human Resources, IT, finance, business administration, or project management. Skills In written and verbal communication Ability To conduct research analyze data summarize findings to support decision-making use standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite learn and apply new concepts, tools, and procedures quickly and effectively work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership.
