Overview
We are seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team in Shelby Township, MI. As a key player in our aerospace manufacturing division, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components that meet the stringent standards of the aerospace industry. If you have a passion for machining and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC mills to produce complex aerospace components.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure precision in machining.
- Perform tooling changes and adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Conduct shop math calculations to ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with 5-axis VMCs.
- Understanding of GD&T principles and their application in machining.
- Proficient in CNC tooling and setup, with a focus on aerospace components.
- Solid shop math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Experience with 3-4 axis VMCs is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
