Veterinary Assistant - ER

Veterinary Assistant -- Emergency Join our fast-paced ER team and make a real impact for pets and the people who love them. We're looking for a compassionate, motivated Veterinary Assistant to support our Emergency department. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, stays calm under pressure and is passionate about high-quality patient care. Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 7am-6pm What You'll Do Assist veterinarians and other team members with emergency patient care Safely restrain pets for exams and treatments Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes promptly Perform vitals, basic nursing care, treatments, diagnostics and procedures Communicate compassionately with clients and team members Help maintain a clean, organized and efficient ER environment What We're Looking For Previous veterinary experience (ER experience a plus) Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting Strong teamwork and communication skills Compassionate, dependable and detail-oriented Comfortable working with critically ill and injured patients Positive attitude and willingness to learn Why Join Our Team Supportive and collaborative culture Opportunity to grow emergency medicine skills Meaningful work helping pets when they need it most Consistent 4-day schedule Competitive pay and benefits Compensation & Benefits Compensation Base hourly rate of $21 - $23 Eligible for periodic bonus Benefits Medical, Vision, Dental insurance 401(k) Health Savings Account Paid time off Employee discounts Allowances, CE and uniform
