Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) is needed for a position in a rural healthcare setting. This role involves providing direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients in a 16-bed Medical Surgical and Step Down Unit within a critical access hospital. The Nurse will perform patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, telemetry monitoring, patient and family education, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking skills, and the ability to care for a diverse patient population are essential.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), a valid nursing license, relevant nursing degree, located in Indiana, with at least 1 year of nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Medical Surgical or Step Down units, telemetry experience.
• Additional Information: The RN must be able to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, provide stabilization when needed, and facilitate transfers to higher levels of care. This position requires adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality initiatives.
