Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a CRNA  to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

• Anesthesiology services provided include obstetrical, general, and regional anesthesia, as well as emergency and trauma anesthesia.
• The CRNA will have the unique opportunity to practice in a wide variety of cases and to work with a large team of Anesthesiologists and CRNA’s.

• CRNA to MD is 1:1 ratio.
• Respond to calls outside of the Operating Room for resuscitative measures and pain management.
• Pre-operative assessment and evaluation of patients.
• Selection of the anesthetic agent, technique, and use of all anesthesia-related drugs appropriate to the individual patient.
• Manage the anesthesia process which includes the induction, maintenance, and the emergence from anesthesia.
• Capable of setting up and using all equipment available in the Operating Room and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Responds to calls outside the Operating Room for endotracheal intubation, cardioversions, conscious sedation, and participates in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
• Responsible for preparation and daily maintenance and operation of anesthetic equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of anesthetic medications and supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA).
• Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) through the NBCRNA.
• Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license and registration.
• Graduate degree in nurse anesthesia (Master’s or Doctoral degree, as applicable).

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $150,000* -  $156,000*based on 24-hour work week and years of State Licensure.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $165,000** -  $171,600**,  which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:

• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
