Data Analyst - Auto Lending

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Analyst – Auto Lending to join an industry-leading credit union. This role will support analytics initiatives focused on auto lending and consumer loan portfolios, delivering insights that drive pricing strategy, credit performance, and portfolio optimization. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience working with auto loan data, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations. Responsibilities for the Data Analyst – Auto Lending include: Analyze auto loan and consumer lending data to identify trends in originations, credit performance, delinquency, and portfolio health Support pricing and underwriting strategy by delivering insights on loan performance, risk segmentation, and yield optimization Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards to track KPIs such as approval rates, funding rates, charge‑offs, and prepayment trends Partner with business stakeholders across lending, risk, and finance teams to support data‑driven decision making Perform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL and other tools across large datasets Qualifications for the Data Analyst – Auto Lending include: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field 3+ years of experience in data analysis within financial services, specifically supporting auto lending or consumer loans Strong understanding of auto lending products, loan lifecycle, and credit risk concepts Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with Python or R is a plus Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills Compensation for the Data Analyst – Auto Lending includes: Salary Range: $115,000 – $140,000 depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and sick leave as required by law #J-18808-Ljbffr
