Speech Language Pathologist School

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology professional to support students in a school-based setting in the Durango/Cortez, Colorado area.

Job Overview:


This role involves providing speech-language services to a diverse student population within an elementary school setting. Caseloads typically range from 45-60 students , depending on student needs, intensity of services, and number of assigned school sites.


We are flexible and open to adjusting assignments where possible, but the primary focus will be supporting early childhood through 5th grade learners .

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and screenings
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct therapy services to students
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reporting

Requirements:

• Active Colorado SLP license through CDE (required at time of submission)
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage a moderate-to-heavy caseload in a school environment
