We transfer the warmth needed to make life work.OverviewThe Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery targets are met. This role requires a strong people leader who can motivate, develop, and manage a team while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (Onsite). 100 Thermon Dr. San Marcos, TX.Key Responsibilities Production & Operations ManagementOversee day-to-day production activities to ensure schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are achievedCoordinate workflow, staffing, and resources to meet production demands in a high-volume manufacturing environmentMonitor production performance metrics (e.g., throughput, downtime, scrap, OEE) and implement corrective actions Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing best practicesPeople Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and develop a team of production employees, including training, performance management, and employee engagementFoster a positive, accountable, and safety-first work cultureConduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessionsAddress employee relations issues in partnership with HR, ensuring fair and consistent application of policiesSafety & CompliancePromote and enforce a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policiesConduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigationsEnsure proper use of PPE and adherence to environmental and regulatory standardsContinuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process improvements, waste reduction, and efficiency gainsSupport Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, quality) to optimize production processesQuality AssuranceEnsure products meet all quality specifications and regulatory requirementsPartner with the quality team to investigate and resolve production issuesDrive accountability for quality at all levels of the production team QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field)5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environmentDemonstrated experience managing teams and driving performanceStrong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and operational metricsAbility to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as neededExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologiesFamiliarity with ERP or production management systemsKey CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skillsAbility to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environmentExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsResults-driven with a focus on accountability and continuous improvementPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift) in a manufacturing environmentFrequent use of hands for operating equipment, handling materials, and performing repetitive motionsAbility to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-50 pounds, with or without assistanceAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs or ladders as neededAbility to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, dust, and machineryVisual acuity to monitor production processes, read documents/screens, and identify safety or quality issuesAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and other safety gearCapability to respond quickly to emergency situations and maintain situational awareness in a fast-paced setting
