Responsibilities
- Secure and release crane rigs to and from barges and vessels using lines and cables
- Inspect cables and rigging components on the crane deck for safety and functionality
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and machinery as needed
- Provide clear directional signals to crane operators during operations
- Lubricate crane buckets to ensure smooth operation
- Assist in drafting barges and managing barge covers
- Handle general rigging and repositioning of barges
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards on decks, barges, and ship holds
- Refuel equipment and cranes as necessary
- Support general upkeep and maintenance of the crane rig
- Report all incidents promptly according to company protocols
- Actively participate in and support company safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physical capability to perform manual labor and use hand tools
- Understanding of safety protocols and procedures
