IT Specialist

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking an IT Specialist in San Bernardino, CA. In this role, you will support entry access systems from a software perspective, including assigning access cards. Vendor management or maintaining vendor relationships is helpful.Duties:* Perform detailed inventory and asset tracking of PCs, network equipment, wireless access points, and related hardware* Reconcile assets using inventory management tools (SnipeIT preferred) and maintain accurate documentation* Decommission and package 65+ workstation setups, including peripherals and power equipment* Remove and document wireless access points, switches, UPS units, and other network hardware* Support MDF/IDF and server room teardown activities, including equipment removal and network documentation* Assist with decommissioning access control systems and related hardware* Package, palletize, label, and prepare equipment for shipment to designated locations* Conduct final inventory audits to ensure all assets are properly accounted for* Support facility closeout activities, including cleanup and documentation of vacated IT spacesRequirements* 3+ years of IT support, infrastructure, network, deployment, or asset management experience* Experience working with network hardware, wireless infrastructure, and IT asset inventories* Familiarity with MDF/IDF environments, structured cabling, and equipment decommissioning* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail* Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed* Experience with SnipeIT, Avigilon/Openpath, Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, or UniFi environments is a plusJob TypeContractCompensation28 - $30
