Freezer Warehouse Laborer

Toledo Ice Cream, a DFA company, is hiring for adaptable Freezer Warehouse Laborers to perform all purpose duties to operate equipment and perform a variety of job duties in the freezer hardening room of an ice cream facility. SCHEDULE:

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, start time varying between 3:30-4:30pm; 8.5-10 hour shift (may be initially 10 hour shift during training period) 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 11-11:30pm; 8.5 hour shift (will be half palletizing, half cleaning shift)

COMPENSATION:

• 21.65-$26.40 per hour (training rate is $21.65 for 90-day probationary period, then increases to $26.40 per hour)
• 0.25 hour shift differential for hours worked between 6pm-5am

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Load/unload stacks and move items as assigned Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units Mark or put identifying labels on product loads Record movement of stock in/out of work area Monitor materials, products, and equipment at each step of process and report irregularities to supervision Maintain communication with other departments, supervisors, and employees, and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP's Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
