Seeking a Field Technical Service Representative (Automotive Coatings) in Lebanon, Kentucky for a global automotive coatings manufacturer.

The Field Technical Service Representative supports line performance and quality trend tracking, technical troubleshooting (color, appearance, etc.), and reporting for an assigned customer account. Additional responsibilities include documented inventory management, line trial support, new model color program support, and customer complaint assistance, working closely with the account's Technical Account Manager and Sales team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day operations and projects with the customer base through action register management and regular technical project meetings
• Monitor and track on-line performance and incoming quality for processing, color, and appearance criteria
• Track and communicate inventory levels with the Technical Account Manager and Sales team to support effective stock management
• Implement and track value-added activities that improve the production process and resolve related process issues
• Contribute to customer application line correlations and assist with formula optimization
• Monitor customer production runs to determine performance requirements
• Coordinate and execute technical service needs, including product and material adjustments (solvents, pigment dispersions, additives) to meet line requirements for color and flow/appearance
• Perform on-site quality control testing on materials as needed
• Recommend process and/or robot program changes to improve product performance
• Document customer line processes to determine root cause and preventive actions for production issues
• Coordinate sample submissions and production trials
• Participate in facility continuous improvement programs
• Generate reports, data, presentations, and documentation on account projects and issues, and facilitate internal team meetings for action register and project reviews
• Assist with RGA (return goods authorization) issue resolution as needed
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree, or a minimum of 2 years of customer-based technical experience in automotive paints
• Proficiency with computer and software applications
• Ability to interpret data and write technical reports
• Strong customer focus and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work with two-component coatings and isocyanates
• Ability to wear a respirator and all required PPE, including maintaining a clean-shaven face for respirator use
