Summary The Business Systems Analyst I (BSA) is a liaison between end-users/clients, GPS staff members and other MedImpact departments. The role reviews, analyzes, and evaluates basic to moderately complex business systems and user needs. The BSA formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies; writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned. · Provides support for both active and terminated MedImpact clients handling GPS related processes. · Functioning as a liaison between end-users, clients and other MedImpact departments. · Gathers, documents, and translate business needs into business and functional requirements and supports the development of system design specifications. · Develops and provides baseline and moderate technical query support in order to gather data, research and identify trends and solutions. · Assists Program Managers and other key stakeholders in the creation and maintenance of related documentation and materials pertinent to identified changes such as data or process flows, analytical reports, business rules, etc. · Defines and documents requirements business rules to assist in the development of software specifications to include system requirements, flow charts, report mock-ups, and business rules. · Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop business processes that ensure developed application meets all project requirements. Ensures that projects are completed on time, accurate to defined specifications and within budget. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities Education and/or Experience AA and 4+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Visio, Golden, Design software and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).; JAVA, On-line transaction processing (OLTP), Integrated development platforms. Familiar with relational databases and client server concepts. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required. Other Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC). Basic understanding of Medicaid, government-sponsored healthcare programs, pharmacy benefit management, claims processing, eligibility, prior authorization, reporting, or related healthcare operations preferred Basic project planning skills (creation and definition) Negotiation skills Business requirements gathering and elicitation techniques Conflict management skills Leading and facilitating meetings Interviewing skills to understand customer needs Good interpersonal and communications skills(written/verbal) Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Language Skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Work Location This position works on-site at the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders. Working Hours This is a full-time non-exempt position requiring one to be able to work overtime from time to time to get the job done. Therefore, one must have the ability to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. This may be changed at any time to meet the needs of the business. The typical working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Travel This position requires domestic travel of up to 10% of the time. The Perks:
