TruOak Financial Partners is hiring a Managing Director with experience in financial services, life insurance, or wealth management to expand our Birmingham presence. This opportunity combines personal production, advisor recruiting, and team development , with a base salary of $75,000–$150,000 plus commissions and performance-based bonus opportunities.

You have worked hard to build your relationships and reputation. Here, you can put both to work on a larger scale. We are looking for a leader who can attract talented financial professionals, help them develop successful practices, and continue serving clients through a personal book of business.

Recruiting is a core responsibility of this position. You will actively build a candidate pipeline, create relationships throughout the market, and help prospective advisors understand what they can build at TruOak. Once they join, your leadership will help turn that potential into consistent activity, stronger skills, and production.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary of $75,000–$150,000 , based on experience and qualifications

Compensation:

$75,000 - $150,000 Plus Commissions

Responsibilities:

• Lead recruiting, advisor development, and business growth in the Birmingham market
• Identify, recruit, and onboard experienced advisors and emerging financial professionals
• Maintain an active recruiting pipeline through outreach, referrals, networking, and local relationships
• Present TruOak’s non-captive platform, resources, and growth opportunities to prospective recruits
• Coach and mentor advisors on prospecting, client relationships, practice management, and production
• Support advisor development through joint work, regular coaching, and clear performance goals
• Maintain personal production by developing new business and serving your own clients
• Build relationships across Birmingham’s business and professional communities
• Partner with senior leadership to establish and execute recruiting and production goals
• Create a team culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and consistent follow-through

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in financial services, life insurance, wealth management, or financial advisor leadership

• Active Life and Health insurance license required

• Active Series 7 registration required

• Series 63, 65, or 66 preferred

• Demonstrated success in personal production and client relationship development

• Experience recruiting, coaching, mentoring, or developing financial professionals

• Established relationships in Birmingham or the surrounding market

• Ability to balance personal production with active recruiting and team leadership

• Strong business development, communication, and organizational skills

• A business mindset and a commitment to helping others succeed
