Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional Position
The Cumberland School Department is seeking personnel to work with our students. The job will involve the following duties/responsibilities:
- Assist in classroom duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher
- Assist and supervise students during lunch and recess
- Assist students in moving to different locations within the school building (ie: bathroom)
- Other duties as may be assigned by the classroom teacher, building administrator and/or the Superintendent of Schools
Willingness to attend Professional development to enhance skills in this area as needed, willingness to be Safety Care trained and able to work cooperatively as a member of a classroom team of professionals. Knowledge of and experience with behavioral and emotional supports preferred. Please provide a complete application.
