Transfer Station Attendant

Transfer Station/BuyBack Center AttendantMammoth Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Transfer Station/BuyBack Center Attendant to work out of our facilities located in Mammoth Lakes, CA!The schedule is five days a week, including a weekend day. The schedule will be set, but could be a 6:30-3pm shift some days, and 10:30am-7pm shift other days.Starting pay is $21-22 per hour. The pay range for this job category is $21-$24 per hour.This is a great opportunity for full time, year round work! You will be interacting with the public, doing cash-handling and computer work, and handling labor-intensive tasks on-site. Must have excellent customer service, as well as the ability to stand and do physically demanding work throughout an 8 hour shift.Responsibilities:Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry to the centerSupporting the buyback center with weighing, payments and sortingCalculating payments for customersEnter truck, car information into computer systemEnsuring that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Data entry and answering phones as neededEnsuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate materialCleaning, sweeping and pressure washing equipmentProviding general upkeep of the Scale HouseHeavy lifting of equipment and materialLearn to operate forklift and bobcatRequirements:Customer service skills and a great attitudeCash handling experienceValid driver's license and clean driving recordHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to stand throughout an 8 hour shiftAbility to lift up to 50lbs poundsAbility to work in all weather conditionsTo be considered for any of our current openings you must complete an application at Application information and additional instructions can be found once you select your position of interest.We offer excellent benefits including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, long term & short term disability, life insurance, 401K retirement and unlimited opportunities to "Connect with Your Future".Waste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
