Payroll Specialist

Exciting Payroll Specialist opportunity within a well-established construction organization, supporting the employees and projects that keep the business moving. This position is ideal for a detail-driven payroll professional who thrives in a regulated environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant payroll. Responsibilities: Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness Review timesheets, certified payroll, and job cost allocations Manage subcontractor certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage compliance Maintain and update employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, benefits, and job cost codes Coordinate fringe benefit reporting for union employees and submit required documentation Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger postings, and quarterly filings Assist with year-end processes including W-2 and 1099 preparation Support audits and respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies Partner with HR, Accounting, and Project Management to resolve payroll discrepancies Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information Qualifications: 3+ years of payroll experience, with construction industry experience strongly preferred Construction industry payroll experience strongly preferred Experience with union payroll, certified payroll, and prevailing wage requirements is highly valuable Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, labor compliance, and job cost accounting Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (ERP experience a plus) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr AVAILABILITY Professional Staffing
