If you have a strong safety mindset, we want to hear from you!You will perform essential manual and operational tasks to support the safe and efficient operation of an aggregate plant. Your responsibilities include routine duties like material handling, equipment operation, maintenance, safety inspections, and teamwork to meet daily production goals, all while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards.What You Will Be DoingPerform routine tasks such as shoveling gravel, dust control, yard cleanup, machinery inspections, loading / unloading, inventory storage, and general facility housekeepingSupport equipment operators as neededOperate machinery safely and efficientlyConduct minor maintenance and basic repairs on equipmentUse various hand tools to complete daily work requirementsCollaborate with team members to achieve daily operational priorities and assist with cross-training in other rolesHelp maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment through regular housekeeping and maintenance tasksWalk the plant regularly to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and completed repairsComplete required documentation, report operational issues to the Foreman, and identify opportunities for plant improvementsAdhere to all safety policies, including MSHA and company regulationsPerform other duties as assignedWhat We Would Like From YouProficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and shovelsSelf-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and in small teamsWilling and able to work 12-hour shifts, including weekendsExperience in the aggregate industry and welding skills are a plusExperience operating heavy machinery in a plant environment is preferredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferredLocation and Other Key Details:This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Bridgeport siteThis is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background checkPosition involves working 12-hour shifts with weekend hours as necessaryTravel to various job sites required as needed, less than 10%Regular outdoor work with exposure to a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowFrequent sitting and use of fine motor skills such as manual dexterity, hand / eye coordination, and active hearing and visionOccasional standing, walking, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and pushing or pulling as neededRegular exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smoke, gases, fumes, and aggregate materialsRequired to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, vests, and glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats, with additional PPE for tasks like welding or repairsWhy BURNCO?Be part of a supportive, high-performing team that values your growth and successEnjoy competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off, and moreExperience our inclusive, collaborative, and safety-focused cultureTake part in team events, professional development activities, and community initiativesJoin us and be part of an organization that values safety above all.
