Position Type: Full-Time.

Schedule: Tuesday – Friday.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: Up to $68/hour (for candidates holding an active Maryland Local Anesthesia Permit).

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our privately owned dental practice in Bowie, MD. Unlike many larger organizations, our practice is independently owned and operated—not part of a DSO. With 60-minute hygiene appointments and no assisted hygiene , you'll have the opportunity to practice the way you were trained—focusing on exceptional preventive care, periodontal therapy, patient education, and long-term oral health.

Our practice utilizes Eaglesoft practice management software and prides itself on maintaining a collaborative, supportive culture where every team member is valued and empowered to provide the highest level of care.

Located in Bowie, MD, you'll enjoy the convenience of a central location with easy access to Washington, D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore while maintaining an outstanding work-life balance with a four-day work week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal hygiene care during 60-minute patient appointments.
• Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning, and preventive hygiene procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive periodontal evaluations and oral cancer screenings.
• Take and interpret digital dental radiographs.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive treatment recommendations.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, periodontal findings, and treatment using Eaglesoft.
• Collaborate closely with the doctor and clinical team to provide exceptional patient care.
• Maintain OSHA and infection control standards while supporting an efficient clinical workflow.

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Maryland.
• Local Anesthesia Permit required to qualify for the maximum compensation of up to $68/hour.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience with Eaglesoft is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Passion for providing comprehensive, relationship-based care.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical excellence.
