Senior Project ManagerDurham, NCHybrid remote opportunity for candidates geographically located in or near Durham, North Carolina with a willingness to work on-site in ePlus' Durham office and on customer sites within the region as necessary.As a Senior Project Manager, you will support the Project Management Office leading both internal and external projects by managing communications and expectations with the customer as well as achieving goals and managing the project budget.Your ImpactThe essential functions of this position include:The Senior Project Manager will act as a mentor to Project Managers and could take on complex Projects at ePlus strategic accountsOversee, train, assist and develop the Project staffRun complex projects/programs from design and development to productionDefine requirements and plan project lifecycle deploymentWork with Service Directors to define resource requirements and determine schedules for project implementationCreate strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planningPlan and schedule project deliverables, goals and milestonesDirect and oversee project engineering team and manage conflicts within groupPerform team assessments and evaluationsFacilitate team and client meetings effectivelyHold regular status meetings with project teamDemonstrate leadership to define requirements for project riskWork with Presales to develop Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for external servicesManage and maintain technical and project documentationManage day-to-day operational aspects and scope of projectsReview deliverables prepared by team before passing to clientEffectively apply ePlus methodology and enforce project standardsMinimize exposure and risk on projectsTrack and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basisManage project budgetDetermine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor receivables for projectFollow-up with clients regarding unpaid invoices, as necessaryAnalyze project profitability, revenue, margin, bill rates and utilizationContinually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationshipsAssure legal project documents are completed and signedIdentify business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific projectChallenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentorDevelop lasting relationships with client personnel that fosters client tiesCommunicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutionsAs a manager, you are also expected to:Lead and guide team members, fostering growth through mentoring, coaching, and development, while ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Promote an environment of inclusivity and respect, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging open dialogue among all team members.Collaborate on strategic initiatives, leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and positive change within the organization.Cultivate a proactive approach to conflict resolution, striving for amicable solutions and escalating concerns as needed.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Technology or related fieldPMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalentMinimum 10 years of project management or IT Management experienceMinimum 5 years of experience coordinating and supporting IT business processesInformation Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other best practices certification is a plusStrong organizational, presentation, and customer service skillsExpert Knowledge of PMBOK, Six SigmaProfessional demeanor and good communication skillsUnderstand revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections; make decisions accordinglyPosition SpecificsThe initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $110,000 and $160,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.ePlus offers a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, employee stock purchase program and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered.
