By working collaboratively with partners and continually innovating, JVH strives to be a leader in providing essential healthcare for the underserved, ensuring everyone in our community has access to quality healthcare.The ultrasound technologist produces ultrasonic images for diagnostic and treatment purposes to be reviewed by physicians.Key responsibilities include:Preparing patients for ultrasound examination.Explaining procedures to the patient prior to the commencement of the testing and providing patient education related to medical ultrasound.Maintaining current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursuing professional growth and development.Conducting ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and recording anatomical, pathological and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician.Assisting physician during invasive procedures requiring ultrasound guidance.Maintaining patient charts and records and recording and processing sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the procedure for presentation to interpreting physician.Coding appropriate CPT and ICD10 and submitting billing for services performed.Maintaining proper operation of the ultrasonic equipment and recognizing malfunctions and taking appropriate corrective action.Maintaining ultrasound rooms for optimum efficiency.Maintaining archives/records scans.Reporting preliminary findings and diagnosis to Radiologist/Perinatologist.Being aware of the confidential nature of the clinic and working within legal responsibilities and relevant guidelines for good practice.Using automated computer system to access patient/client information.Benefits overview includes:Medical and prescription drug coverage through UnitedHealthcare's Choice Plus network.Health savings account (HSA) available for employees in the High Deductible Plan with employer contributions and tax advantages.Flexible spending account (FSA) options for both healthcare and dependent care.Dental and vision coverage through Cigna and EyeMed networks.Pre-tax and Roth 403(b) retirement plans with a 5% employer match.Life and disability insurance provided at no cost, with the option to purchase additional coverage.Employee assistance program (EAP) for confidential support for personal and professional challenges.Additional voluntary benefits options for critical illness, accident, hospital care, and pet insurance.Pay on demand available.Nine paid holidays per year.All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination for Flu, Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis (TB) as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter through the JVH career portal.
