Dental Hygienist

Perform routine dental cleanings and preventive hygiene procedures. Complete patient assessments and review relevant medical and dental history. Take digital dental X-rays as needed. Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and periodontal health. Identify oral health concerns and communicate findings appropriately with the dental team. Support the development of individualized treatment recommendations. Create a comfortable, welcoming, and positive patient experience. Follow infection control, sterilization, HIPAA, and safety protocols. Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and other team members to provide comprehensive patient care. Qualifications Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Maine. Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program. Strong clinical and patient-care skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to educate patients effectively and build long-term relationships. Strong attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Knowledge of infection control and HIPAA requirements. Preferred Experience Experience with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Familiarity with digital dental imaging/X-ray systems. Experience in a family, general, or cosmetic dental practice. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base compensation. Performance-based bonus opportunity of approximately $1,000-$2,000 additional per month, depending on performance and practice production.
