Date Posted: 2026-06-12 Location: Crestview, United States of America Summary The Admixture Tech II is responsible for performing a variety of complex technical skills and functions in preparing hazardous and nonhazardous agents under the supervision of the dispensing practitioner. The technician must possess techniques in sterile product preparation, a thorough understanding of the principles of biological safety cabinets, and a knowledge base of antineoplastic/cytotoxic agents, including the precautions needed in the handling of these products. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities Review medication orders to ensure accuracy, ascertain products needed, and evaluate suitability. Perform mathematical calculations to determine appropriate drug measurements for the admixture of ordered medications. Prepare sterile and non-sterile medications as ordered by the prescriber in an accurate and timely manner. Perform proper donning and doffing of garb to ensure aseptic preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous drugs. Understand and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety and prevent contamination. Maintain necessary records and logs including clinical research trials, compassionate and non-billable drugs, waste manifests, safety cabinet cleaning, mixing room cleaning, refrigerated and ambient drug temperatures, controlled substances, and eye wash stations. Order, stock, and dispense medical supplies and drugs. Perform inventory management tasks: ordering, dispensing, auditing, storage, and reconciliation. Complete all required education and training set by the organization, state, federal, and regulatory agencies. Handle and dispose of hazardous drugs and waste materials following USP , USP , OSHA, NIOSH, and state/federal environment regulations. Assess temperature monitoring systems and track accurate temperature of ambient and refrigerated drugs. Document and report drug loss, communicate clinic charges, and initiate drug replacement or reimbursement. Collaborate with departments such as Patient Financial Navigators and Procurement to track and order patient drugs. Perform other duties and projects assigned by Pharmacy Operations Supervisor and Manager. Ensure confidentiality of patient and employee information. Support team and FCS as required. Float to meet clinic needs; travel 75‑100% weekly as required. Comply with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy. Education, Certifications & Licenses High school diploma or equivalent (required). College degree preferred. Professional pharmacy technician certification required; preferably Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Experience Minimum of one year experience as a pharmacy or admixture technician, preferably in a clinical setting. IV sterile admixture experience preferred. Self‑Management: independently manage time, priorities, stress, and professional development. Remote work ability when required. Work in fast‑paced, multi‑site environment with competing priorities. Computer skills: proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Travel: willingness to travel occasionally for education and research meetings. Travel Expectations Travel required for floats: 75‑100% weekly.
