Job Title: Quality Analyst

Type of Role: Temp-to- Hire

Shift / Hours: Rotating shifts, 6am-6pm, 6pm-6am

Location: San Antonio, Tx 78264

Salary Range: $20/hr

The Quality Analyst supports daily quality checks for automotive steel and aluminum blanks produced during blanking operations. This position works on the production floor to inspect products, identify defects, help investigate quality issues, and prevent defective material from reaching customers. Training will be provided on automotive quality systems and continuous improvement methods.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Inspect products and identify defects
• Conduct internal quality system audits
• Help contain and prevent quality issues
• Support daily activities for the Quality Department
• Prioritize quality tasks and manage workload efficiently
• Assist with investigating and resolving quality problems
• Review daily hold reports and release approved material
• Use measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Complete other duties as assigned
• Participate in quality meetings and other department activities
• Support continuous improvement and problem-solving activities
• Communicate quality concerns to Mill Technical Services, supervisors, and production personnel

Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with the metric system is a plus
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
• Ability to identify small defects and pay close attention to detail
• Ability to complete basic reports, documentation, and data entry
• Ability to solve problems and follow standardized work instructions
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other computer programs
• Ability to work effectively with operators, supervisors, maintenance, and other team members
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions
• Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and measurements
