Registered Nurse (RN) - L&D

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center - Burbank

Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN

1:2 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends. Every other weekend commitment required, with 4 weekend shifts per schedule. No on-call shifts. May be required to float to similar units.

Start date: ASAP. Guaranteed hours may be called off once per two-week pay period.

Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.

Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NRP.

Previous experience in antepartum and labor & delivery care, as well as triage of obstetrical patients.

Experience with fetal monitoring, circulating and recovering for C-sections, and postpartum couplet care.

Proficiency with central lines and managing drips for anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, and insulin.

Charting experience required: Meditech and Epic.

Provide care to patients throughout antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.

Monitor fetal health and respond to any issues during labor.

Assist in C-sections and recovery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

Perform sterile vaginal exams and assess obstetrical patients.

Facilitate newborn care immediately after delivery and ensure postpartum couplet care.

All scheduling requests must be included at submission. Must commit to working 3 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.
