The Heart Hospital - 2801 S Mayhill Rd, Denton, 76208 Position Details Position: Multimodality Tech (CT & Xray) Shift: Full-time, Nights, 4x10s, 8:00pm-6:30am (Training with dayshift techs for at least 2 weeks to familiarize with the department requirements) Call Requirement: Friday/Saturday/Sunday backup call once every 6-8 weeks. Job Summary The Multimodality Technologist, supervised by a Radiologist, performs imaging in two or more disciplines. At least 25% of their work focuses on advanced areas like CT, MR, Nuc Med, or IR. They work with ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury, following established protocols. Essential Functions Performs high-quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocol promptly. Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards. Demonstrates expertise of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring. Takes action if the estimated dose exceeds set levels and may include patient follow-up. Demonstrates and knows about proper use of iSTAT point-of-care testing for obtaining creatinine levels. Utilizes AIDET to communicate with patients, identifies service needs, ensures correct exam, establishes rapport, communicates clearly and calmly about the test, and assesses patient tolerance. Prepares the patient and area for the procedure, positions the patient, uses immobilization devices, and moves equipment into position. Uses appropriate settings and exposure factors. Protects patients and employees by following safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, using sterile techniques for invasive procedures, and maintaining hand hygiene. Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation, reports issues to management or the appropriate department, assists in maintaining supplies inventory, and ensures people are safe by screening them according to approved policies and procedures. Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, policies, and procedures. Maintains medical imaging records in appropriate systems according to department policies and procedures. Able to effectively administer first aid and use emergency cart. Ensures customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service, remains professional, reviews patient satisfaction scores, and develops action plans when needed. Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge, continued education, and skills appropriate for all age groups. Able to serve as a preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and training current teams about new services and initiatives. Able to take call, if required. Qualifications EDUCATION - Graduate of an Accredited Program EXPERIENCE - 5 year or more of strong CT experience highly preferred.
