Make a difference in the life of a student as a Virtual Special Education Teacher for a short-term contract. This opportunity involves working with a 5th grade male student, providing targeted Specially Designed Instruction in a remote 1:1 setting. The position is anticipated to last for a few weeks up to a month, as the district prepares an out-of-district placement for the student. Flexibility is key, with a schedule tailored to meet the needs of the student, contractor, and other support services.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct virtual special education instruction for 2 hours per week to a single 5th grade student.
• Offer indirect services and communication time as needed.
• Develop and implement individualized educational strategies tailored to student goals and abilities.
• Coordinate with school professionals and caregivers to align service delivery.
• Track progress and document sessions in accordance with district and state requirements.
• Adjust instruction based on feedback and evolving student needs over the course of the contract.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
• Previous experience providing virtual instruction in a school setting is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in delivering Specially Designed Instruction, ideally with one-on-one student support.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
