Retirement Plan Consultant

Responsibilities Retirement Plan Sales and Business Development : Build and manage a sales pipeline across convergence leads, sales calls, referrals, and COI management; communicate OneDigital’s retirement plan value proposition to prospective clients; lead prospects through the sales cycle to exceed annual sales goals; participate in industry presentations and prospect events. Client Relationship Management : Lead relationships with plan sponsors, develop customized strategies, and foster open communication to exceed client expectations. Investment Consulting and Plan Design : Provide investment advisory services, present diverse plan options, advise on account questions, and design complex retirement structures for institutional clients. Compliance and Regulatory Expertise : Conduct benchmarking, coordinate RFPs, stay informed of industry trends and regulations, advise on plan adjustments, collaborate with Plan Administration Specialists on testing requirements, provide fiduciary training, and offer regulatory consulting. Qualifications and Experience Proven track record of exceeding sales goals. Strong understanding of ERISA regulations and fiduciary best practices. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make decisions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Discipline maintaining sales pipeline information in a CRM, preferably Salesforce. Success with multitasking and managing priorities effectively. Adaptability to a rapidly changing business and technology environment. Continual learner mentality, able to adopt new solutions and interpret legal impacts. Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive client information. Regular and predictable attendance required. Business travel up to 25%. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field (preferred) or relevant experience in retirement plan sales. Must possess a valid relevant securities license or demonstrate strong likelihood of obtaining necessary licensure within the required timeframe. Minimum 2+ years of retirement plan experience; 2–5 years of industry sales experience preferred. Compensation The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year. Base pay is dependent on skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. Some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on performance.
