Richmond, VA 23298 3-Month Direct-Hire Engagement Onsite | Monday–Friday ⏰ 7.5-Hour Shift | Scheduled Between 6:00 AM–8:00 PM 3 Positions Available
Are you passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and thrive? We’re looking for Child Care Teachers to join a collaborative early childhood education team supporting children from 6 weeks through 6 years of age.
What You’ll Do
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor development
Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment
Use play, exploration, and creativity to encourage learning and independence
Observe and document children's developmental progress
Build positive relationships with children, families, and teaching teams
Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and daily activities
Maintain classroom safety, cleanliness, organization, and appropriate supplies
Follow childcare licensing, health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with teachers, team leaders, supervisors, and directors
Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and special projects
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of formal childcare experience
Experience working with children 6 weeks–6 years old
Ability to work effectively in a busy, active childcare environment
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to changing classroom needs
Education Requirements
Candidates should meet one of the following:
Associate/2-year degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Psychology, or a related field OR
High School Diploma/GED + 40 hours of Early Childhood Education or related coursework OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
⭐ Preferred
Experience with infants and toddlers (6 weeks–2 years)
Familiarity with the Reggio-inspired approach
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential
