The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in the manufacturing process, handling both prototyping and production projects. Working within a medium-sized team of 4-7 operators, this role reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up machines, operating CNC equipment, inspecting quality, and ensuring efficient production flow.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines according to project specifications
- Operate CNC machinery to produce precision parts
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to blueprints
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Manage tooling requirements and inventory
- Monitor production processes and maintain documentation
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Programming with Fusion 360
- Knowledge of CNC programming and machine operation
- Proficient in blueprint reading and precision measurement
- Experience with quality control processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment
