Location: Covington LA 70433 Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am-1pm Duration -3 Months + Contract to Hire Pay Range: $19.38 to $22.53/hr offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume Responsibilities: Perform blood draws and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) as required. Explain specimen collection process to patients clearly and courteously. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes for accuracy. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed. Review and confirm physician orders and test requisitions. Ensure 100% accuracy when checking specimen labels and requisitions. Update patient information in the system. Record maintenance and decontamination activities. Store specimens according to required conditions and temperature. Package specimens for transport to the lab. Follow infection control and safety protocols. Qualifications: THREE years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred. *Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
