THERAPIST (LICENSED)

Responsibilities San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212‑bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in central Texas. The campus spans 65 acres and includes 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and developmental levels, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, playing fields, a ropes course, a canteen, a social area, and a healing trail. The facility provides 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs that teach young patients to moderate their behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning. As a licensed therapist, you will work with the child and adolescent population as part of the clinical team. Your duties will include direct behavioral health care services to children and adolescents with mental illness in residential treatment programs. Responsibilities include: Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Individual, group, and family therapy. Case management activities. Patient and family education. Discharge and aftercare planning. You will also collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, document services in the clinical record, engage in inter‑organizational care coordination, and document service outcomes.
