Responsibilities

• Safely operate chainsaws, bucket trucks, and rigging equipment to cut and remove trees with precision and care.
• Perform tree trimming, pruning, and shaping to promote healthy growth and improve landscape aesthetics.
• Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to map and assess tree locations and health status.
• Conduct plant pruning care to maintain safety standards and support tree vitality.
• Apply knowledge of dendrology (the study of trees) to identify species, assess health conditions, and determine appropriate care or removal strategies.
• Assist with rigging procedures for large or hazardous tree removals, ensuring safety for team members and the environment.
• Maintain all equipment including bucket trucks, chainsaws, and rigging gear; perform routine inspections and troubleshooting.
• Support ongoing training in horticulture practices, growing experience, and landscape techniques to enhance your skills continuously.

Experience

• Familiarity with using chainsaws, bucket trucks, rigging systems, and other arboricultural tools.
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices such as lawn care and planting techniques.
• Basic understanding of GIS technology or interest in developing this skill set.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures when working at heights or with heavy machinery.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks.
