A Commercial Tax Manager or Senior Manager provides federal tax compliance and planning services to large middle market and public companies. A Tax Manager or Senior Manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities.To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:Bachelor’s degree in AccountingCPA with 5+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firmUnderstanding of partnership and partner tax allocationsPossess technical knowledge sufficient to sell and execute engagements in a wide variety of industries, with a heavy focus in the fields of Manufacturing and Distribution, Technology, and/or ConstructionAdditionally, the following qualifications are preferred: Master’s degree in Accounting or related fieldProven ability to manage, mentor and develop staffStrong relationship management and practice development skillsAbility to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clientsWeaver Compensation and Benefits: At Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $290,000 in the California, Denver, Maryland, New Jersey and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location.
