Hotel Assistant General Manager

As the Assistant General Manager , you’ll be the operational heartbeat of the hotel—bridging strategy and day-to-day execution. You’ll ensure that every guest interaction reflects our brand promise, every department operates at peak performance, and every team member feels empowered to deliver their best. Your leadership will directly influence guest loyalty, team morale, and the hotel’s overall success.

Job Responsibilities: ·

• In partnership with the General Manager oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring adherence to brand standards and operational excellence.
• Lead the team in the General Manager’s absence.
• Serve as manager on duty several days a week.
• Coordinate closely with the sales leadership to support all sales efforts.
• Lead the team at the Front Desk in a hands-on capacity. Implement and monitor service excellence and provide service recovery.
• Assist Housekeeping, Laundry, and Breakfast teams as necessary.
• Act as a key point of contact for guest concerns, resolving issues with empathy and urgency.
• Assist the General Manager in monitoring and maintaining the property’s online reputation. Respond promptly to all internal and external communication, including emails, voicemails, guest messages, Medallia communications, Expedia Partner Central and other social media platforms, and vendor inquiries.
• Promote a culture of accountability and teamwork throughout the property.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, brand standards, and complete required safety training and brand certifications.
• Ensure all departments follow safety, security, and emergency protocols, including key control, and confidentiality of guest information.
• Ensure all associates maintain a professional appearance and comply with uniform and grooming standards.
• Must maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to meet evolving business demands.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or in a leadership capacity.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to stand and walk for the majority of your shift.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and senior leadership.
• Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in property management systems and Microsoft Office. Understanding and utilization of ChoiceMAX and ChoiceNOW.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, as required by business demands.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
