Job Details

A Senior Trial Attorney assists the Partner in managing multiple cases, preparing litigation reports, drafting legal documents, and appearing in court. The role focuses on strategy, motions, trial preparation, low‑level depositions and trials, mediations, and research.

Duties

• Assist in case evaluation, legal support, and guidance.
• Develop case strategy and find plausible solutions.
• Prepare litigation reports and risk assessments.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and court appearances.
• Stay informed about current legislation.
• Build trustworthy relationships with clients and experts.
• Finalize legal documents such as depositions, pleadings, contracts.
• Draft and finalize complaints, letters, motions, discovery responses.
• Negotiate low‑level settlements and attend mediations.
• Interview, train, mentor, and assist in managing legal staff.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law / State Bar membership.
• 4–10 years of related experience.
• Second‑chair trial experience.
• Ability to handle a high caseload.
• Excellent interpersonal, critical‑thinking, and public‑speaking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and develop strategies with a team.
• Commitment to ethics and abiding by the law.
• High emotional intelligence and discretion with sensitive information.

Additional Information

Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
