In this role, you'll represent Hy-Vee in customers' homes and communities, delivering care with professionalism and a friendly attitude.If you are dependable, customer-focused, and take pride in doing things right on the road and at the door, we'd love to have you on our team.What You'll DoNo two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile, learning their names, and making every interaction a positive oneDeliver pharmacy customers' prescriptions to specified locations in a timely and professional mannerEnter and exit the delivery vehicle multiple times per shift, navigate staircases and varying terrain to reach delivery destinationsMaintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle inside and outFacilitate the maintenance and upkeep of delivery vehicles and report any issues promptlyMaintain the confidentiality of customers' private medical information in accordance with HIPAAWork with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environmentAssist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects as assignedMaintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelinesReport to work when scheduled and on timeYour SkillsCommitment to the Hy-Vee mission and a willingness to promote the values of the companyGood verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly, professional mannerAbility to identify problems and develop and execute solutions independentlyAbility to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions and communicate supply needs orally or in writingAbility to maintain a high level of discretion when handling confidential patient informationReporting RelationshipsAccountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home; Service Managers; Pharmacy Department ManagerEducation and ExperienceNo specific education required; we will provide all the training you need to succeedValid driver's license with no DOT restrictions required; must be 18 years or older to drive a company vehiclePhysical RequirementsAbility to frequently stand and walk while loading, transporting, and delivering pharmacy ordersAbility to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standardsExposure to bloodborne pathogens and sharps associated with handling and delivering prescription medications, including controlled substancesAbility to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation dutiesWorking EnvironmentThis role keeps you on the move throughout your shift, driving a delivery vehicle and delivering prescriptions directly to customers. You will have continual exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, dampness, vibrations, and equipment movement hazards, and there is significant pressure to deliver product in a timely manner.
