As a Front Desk Officer in a utilities location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access, monitor entry activity, and support security‑related procedures with professionalism and care. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 - $18.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Daytime Thu 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor lobby and reception area activity, verify visitor and contractor access, issue credentials when authorized, and document arrivals, departures, and/or other front desk activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or first responders as needed. Support a professional presence at a utilities location by answering questions, directing foot traffic, maintaining awareness of access points, and helping to deter unauthorized entry through consistent front desk practices. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Be at least 21 years of age. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
