Operations Technician I or II

As Operations Technician II, you'll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, maintaining facility equipment, and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record‑keeping, and a focus on safety are keys to success in this role. Responsibilities Safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment, and maintaining operational/technical standards and/or governmental requirements. Analyze data and collaborate with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems. Follow all company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures. Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets. Maintain general knowledge of site/location/equipment and permitting. Complete assigned reports, logs and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment. Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum two (2) years of related experience and minimum of one (1) year experience as a technician in the oil and gas industry. Preferred: Associate’s or two‑year technical degree. Work Requirements (Physical & Environmental) Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces. Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed. Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time. Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE. Use hand tools. Shift, work hours and travel requirements: Available to work after hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises. May be required to work overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays. Must be located within a 30‑minute drive of the station. Other Requirements Must possess a valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record. Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes. Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.
